Joel Hall, Owner Golf Nerd
Joel coached high school golf for over 20 years and recently opened a simulator business in Mahtomedi called Golf Nerd. Joel has been teaching golf to players of all ages for over 20 years. He also has worked with our PGA Professional Todd Kueppers in putting on golf camps for advanced High School golfers as well as kids as young as 5 years old. Email Joel at Joel@golfnerdmn.com.

Todd has been a PGA Member for over 25 years and has 35 years experience in teaching. Todd thrives on working with people on their mental game and on course play. Junior Golf Instruction and Programs-2024
1) Member/Guest Lesson Program – Weekly lessons with our PGA Professionals and accomplished
college and high school players. Juniors will work on the fundamentals of a golf swing, as well as etiquette,
rules, and short game. We have two groups – ages 8-10 (8:00 A.M. – 9:15 A.M.) and ages 11-14 (9:30 A.M. –
10:45 A.M.). Member kids may invite friends to participate. Kids will receive a hat, glove, and balls for
participating. Cost is $125.00 for one junior. For a second child in the same family, $75.00; each child after
the second is $50.00. Add $25.00 for any non-member kids (excluding grandkids).

Dates (Tuesdays) –June 11th, 18th, & 25th July 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd
2) On-Course Days – Juniors will play from our Red Tees (or from the 150-yard marker for younger kids)
and will play in threesomes and foursomes. 8:30 A.M. start time. There will be instructors with the kids,
keeping them moving around the course. The focus of the on-course days is to get used to playing
and to have fun with a little competition. The league will play 6-9 holes. Each week, there are
different games and prizes for extra fun. Open to ages 8-14; the cost is $90.00 per junior. Juniors will receive

Dates (Thursdays) –July 11th, 18th, & 25th
3) Child-Parent Event (June 9th) – One parent plays with their 17 and under child in a scramble format.
The parent must have a handicap; the junior will be flighted by their age and gender. Tee times start at
12:00 P.M. The cost is $25 per team. There are tee gifts for the kids and trophies for the winners.

4) PGA Junior League – We have two teams this year: a U17 and a U13. The juniors play a
two-person scramble against a team from other local golf courses on Sunday afternoons. The U17 Team
will practice on Thursday afternoons at 4:00 P.M. The U13 Team will practice on Wednesday mornings
at 8:00 A.M. A day to play the course will be added as well. All players will get a jersey, hat, alignment sticks,
and balls. The season will run from the middle of June through the beginning of August. Cost is $349 and is open to members and non-members. For more information and to sign up go to www.pgajrleague.com.
5) Starting New at Golf. ages 5-8. introduction to the littlest of golfers. WE will use the best equipment to teach kids and beginners how to play golf, SNAG Golf Equipment. 45 minute weekly sessions to give them an introduction to golf and a fun way to learn it. 9:30 Start time. Cost is $75.
